BDA Inc. acquires merchandise company Idea Planet

Benussen Deutsch & Associates (BDA), Woodinville, Wash., announced yesterday that it has completed the acquisition of the consumer insights and merchandise innovation agency Idea Planet.

The acquisition provides Idea Planet with expanded global reach by expanding access to additional sourcing, manufacturing and distribution channels. The combination will allow both companies to grow their strategic merchandise and collectibles programs, while increasing support for new and existing customers through increased control of customer strategy, ideation, manufacturing and logistic.

Idea Planet, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with offices around the world, is led by Mike Flecker, Mike Ableman and Kim Flecker. The company brings an extensive list of customer relationships to BDA, including globally recognized video game developers including Ubisoft, Sega, Gearbox, 2K/Rockstar Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and consumer brands such as Chick-Fil-A and Samsung.
