Delhi police team up with designer Ritu Beri and launch merchandise

Delhi Police launched a line of branded goods in association with designer Ritu Beri at the parade for the first police station, which took place on Monday. A Delhi Police spokesman said the line included clothes, handbags, backpacks, duffel bags, purses, wallets, belts, caps, cufflinks , key chains and other fashion accessories.

The spokesperson added that the product line was launched at the parade venue at New Police Lines by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Saxena and Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana.

Ritu Beri also spoke on the occasion, explaining that the inspiration behind the merchandise was the Delhi Police Department. She said, “The merchandise is inspired by the unwavering spirit of Delhi Police personnel who defy extreme conditions while providing various services to citizens. The finest quality merchandise with the department’s logo and messages has been created after extensive research, keeping in mind global trends, police duties and responsibilities, and public expectations.

A Delhi Police spokesperson also noted the appeal of the wares among younger consumers. “A branded product line creates a strong bond with its consumers, arousing the admiration and aspiration of young people,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson also added that the merchandise will create a positive connection with the citizens as well as a genuine association with the Delhi Police.
