When the 30th anniversary started at Disneyland Paris, we saw massive queues showing up for anniversary-specific merchandise. At Disneyland Park, all merchandise is located in New Century Notions Flora’s one-stop shop. Because of this, massive lines were created instantly, and the merchandise quickly flew off the shelves. We’ve also seen many Guests buy products in bulk, presumably so they can resell sold-out merchandise online at a higher cost.
For a while, much of the 30th Anniversary merchandise was out of stock, but today New Century’s unique boutique Notions Flora added more to its collection, and with that came the crowds. ED92 (@ED92Magic) posted a video that shows the big tail growing every second at Flora’s in Disneyland Paris. A guest can even be seen waiting in a chair in line.

We can’t be sure if there’s only one product returning to the merchandise location or a variety, but it seems guests are leaving with massive bags, which means stockists are on the lookout again.
It is against Disney rules, especially to use a discount on the annual pass to save money, only to resell it for more, and if caught may result in a lifetime ban from Walt Disney World property. Purchasing merchandise from Disney directly ties a product to the memory you may have of that day, which can end up being invaluable. One thing about a lot of merchandise at Disney is that it can go fast and is extremely coveted. For example, when the 50th anniversary started at Walt Disney World, we saw several fights break out at the Magic Kingdom Emporium over a Starbucks cup. The altercations got very physical, all because the bottle ran out and the guests fought over the last one available.
Disney has done what it can to try to rein in resellers by limiting the items they can purchase to just two per person, but some bring their children or friends with them when purchasing items, and are then able to increase their number. The most recent debacle in the reseller market at Disney was the Figment popcorn buckets at EPCOT for the Arts Festival. Guests lined up 7 hours early to collect their buckets and later that day we found several on eBay selling for over $200.00. We also saw lightsabers on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser sells for $1500.00.

The park that started as Euro Disney and then turned into Disneyland Paris with Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studio Park has grown so much over the past 30 years, and now that the park continues to expand, we are finally able to launch the incredible 30th anniversary celebrations. Sleeping Beauty’s castle is now lit up with LED lighting, the decor is in place, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the rest of the gang have their outfits ready, Illuminations is back and there’s a brand new song for the celebration that sends a party to Main Street, USA! And that’s only the tip of the iceberg; we haven’t even discussed the new drone technology lighting up the night sky.
For now, Disneyland Paris guests can finally officially arrange meet and greets! The return of meet at greets to Disneyland Paris was interesting because it took place in phases. The furry characters were the first to cut distancing protocols a few weeks ago, and then it was announced that on April 1, all characters would be able to hug and touch guests again. In recent days, we have seen Disneyland Paris test this return offer with visitors.
