WWE Updates Cody Rhodes Biography, Rhodes Creative Note, New Merchandise, Brandi Rhodes at WrestleMania 38

WWE has updated Cody Rhodes’ official biography and, as requested by the man himself, there is no mention of Stardust.

WWE didn’t update Rhodes’ biography until Sunday. At around 5 a.m. ET Sunday morning, the URL for Rhodes’ official WWE roster page still contained Stardust’s name, likeness and biography. However, the changes were made on Sunday afternoon and the biography now includes the following:

Son of late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, the highly capable Cody Rhodes made his mark in WWE from 2007 to 2016 winning two Intercontinental Championships and six Tag Team Championships. Although he was sometimes “dashing”, Rhodes was much more than a pretty face.

Boasting a dangerous arsenal and a formidable knowledge of the squared circle, Rhodes has fought everyone from Randy Orton to The Miz to Rey Mysterio and many more.

After leaving WWE to explore other opportunities, “The American Nightmare” returned at WrestleMania 38 as a surprise opponent to Seth “Freakin” Rollins – handpicked by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon.

Cody Rhodes is back and it’s undeniable.

For those who missed it, you can click here for Cody’s recent comments on how he asked WWE to leave Stardust in the past when negotiating his new multi-year contract.

Interestingly, Rhodes’ roster page hasn’t listed him for RAW or SmackDown at the time of this writing, but word is he’s still set to be a RAW superstar.

Rhodes previously said on Instagram that he was looking forward to having a live mic on RAW After WrestleMania tonight. It looks like there won’t be a heel turn or anything like that, as PWInsider reiterated that Rhodes is internally listed as a babyface on the red mark.

On a related note, WWE Shop released three new Cody t-shirts this weekend, which you can see below. All three shirts are $27.99 each. Rhodes noted on his instagram stories this weekend how “wonderful it was to collaborate” with WWE Creative Services’ Bruce Prichard and Joe on t-shirt designs. Joe may be a reference to Joe Giorno, the current WWE Global Licensing Senior Creative Director and former Associate Creative Director/Senior Art Director, but Cody did not elaborate.

Brandi Rhodes was at WrestleMania on Saturday with their daughter Liberty. As seen in the tweets below, Brandi tweeted how proud she was of Cody and posted a photo of the family in one of the AT&T Stadium suites.
